Motorsport

JHH has been involved in the Automotive industry for over 25 years. James has competed in various forms of motor sport from the grass roots level through to national championships. His personal highlights included placing 3rd in the 2009 Australian Supermoto Championships in the all powers class and placing 10th in the premier (S2) class in the 2010 Australian Supermoto Championships.

James completed his University Engineering Capstone project on how motorcycle geometry effects mechanical grip. With this knowledge he built his own race bikes and a number of his fellow competitors bikes. 

 

A highlight was preparing an S2 (450cc) Supermoto Bike for the S3 (250cc) Australian Champion who went of to become the S2 Australian Champion.

During this time James also worked for GMD Engineering where he designed chassis components for the first Australian designed and build Moto 2 Grand Prix bike.

James is currently developing an R32 GTR for competition in the NSW Sports Sedans Competition for 2021. He plans to adapt his experience with motorcycle setup to include race cars and also, showcase his engineering capabilities.

JHH has a passion for all things fast and can provide the following services:

  • Reverse engineering and manufacturing of components

  • CAD modelling including FEA of replacement components

  • Upgrades and modifications

  • Maintenance plans

  • Rapid prototyping 

  • Procurement of specialist equipment and components

JHH is working towards VSSCS with the NSW RTA and will be providing engineering advise and compliance certification for motorcycles and passenger vehicles for braking systems (C1), Seating (C3), Engine systems (C4, and chassis systems (C5)

 Update:

  • October 30/31 2021: Round 3 NSW Sports Sedans at Sydney Motorsport Park: James Placed 3rd, Division 2. Unfortunately, during the last race the engine suffered a terminal failure

 Update:

  • 2021 Season Outcome: Placed 1st in Division 2 of NSW Sports Sedans

  • Received the Presidents Award

 Update 2025:

Following 3 years of blood, sweat and tears we have rebuilt most of the car including a new engine, new control system and a completely new wiring harness. The first couple of races were a little disappointing with a number of gremlins including oil/pressure temperature issues. But we manage to resolve each of them, and the car has been getting better and better.

 NSW Sports Sedans Round 2 Winton​​

Hi-Tec Oils Super Series - Super TT-Outlaw Class

Qualified 5th from a field of 27. 

Placed 6th in Race 1, 5th in Race 2, DNF in Race 3 and fought from last to 8th in Race 4 finishing up in 6th overall. Highlight was achieving a new PB trap speed of 263km/hr.
